Bestie Twin Nails with Fashion Footing!

Hello polished world! Hope you are all doing well today! I'm so happy today is Thursday. Am I the only one who feels like this week has dragged on and on and on? I cannot wait for Saturday.
Even though I'm excited for the weekend, I am happy for today because I'm here posting another Bestie Twin Nail design with Fashion Footing! This has become our monthly posting tradition, which I'm really enjoying. I'll have to ask Amanda if she still is after this design.
Today's design is a tape manicure which looked a lot easier than it was. We (or maybe it was me and then Amanda agreed) found this idea on Pinterest and decided to give it a whirl. I would link it here, but Amanda said when she clicked the link, it led to a questionable website, and well we're not having any of that over here on The Little Canvas. The image did not contain watermark so I sadly cannot tell you who originally created the idea.

Originally I did this design using China Glaze Capacity to See Beyond for a base, then in place of the silver I used Zoya Tomoko. I wasn't happy with how they turned out, so of course I took them off and started from scratch the next day. I'm rather happy I did because I loved the look using Frolic and This Crown Needs a Gown.
The design took some patience due to the tape placement. I started out with 2 coats of Frolic. Once it was dried, I placed 6 pieces of tape on my nail. Then I quickly got to work using my dotting tool to fill in the areas with the silver and black polish. Just as quickly as the polish was dotted into place, I was removing the tape to ensure that I would get the cleanest of clean lines. It was a pain!
A pain but awesome looking. I received a lot of compliments on this manicure! Then, yesterday, I hit my ring finger on the corner of a wall, which broke my beautiful long nail. I was just commenting to myself earlier in the day how it's been awhile since I broke one, especially since I've been wearing my nails longer the past few weeks.
