Nothing to Disclose

Happy Wednesday that feels like a Tuesday!  Don't get me wrong, I love three day weekends, but they really throw me off.  Honestly, I was thrown off all weekend because I forgot to even write a blog post.  Again, here I sit with about 7 posts to publish and here I am forgetting to write and publish them.  I will get back into the groove, especially now that I'm here with just one photo.  Life is so much easier when I just share a bottle shot.

Now, I do get asked here or there what's on my thumb, and I should probably clear that up now that I'm not sharing a "thumb" shot.  It is always going to be a safe assumption that whatever is on my ring finger is going to be on my thumb.  If it's something different, I'll make sure to tell you guys.  My OCD needs that "uniform" look so that's why I can say confidently tell you that the ring and thumb will always match.

Anyways, today I should be posting a Monthly Mani Favs, but I'll do that tomorrow.  Thought I should sneak one more in, and how fitting, I opened up May with a neon pink floral, and here I am closing May out with one.  This one is such a super bright pink neon that it kind of freaked my camera out.

Let's take a look.....

Colors Used:
  • ORLY - Put the Top Down
  • ORLY - Liquid Vinyl
  • ORLY - White Tips
So I bought Put the Top Down around the same time that the Coastal Crush collection arrived, and I thought it was part of that collection.  After I remembered that ORLY collections are 6 bottles and not 7, I went on the search to figure out what this beauty was.  Then I remembered that Sally Beauty released a few of the polishes from the PHC collection from last summer and I purchased them because, well, they're gorgeous neons....who could say no?

Put the Top Down can cover in one lovely neon coat.  I used two because I honestly feel awkward doing one coat.  It reminds me of a non-shimmery version of my favorite, Oh Cabana Boy!  Which reminds me, I need to get a back up of Oh Cabana Boy!

What do you think?  Like the bright neons?  Would you like to see swatches of the Coastal Crush collection??

Until next time, <3.

The One With the Yellow Flowers and Morgan Taylor

Good morning polished world!  Happy Friday to you all!!  Can you believe Friday is finally here?  Actually this week went by quite fast, so I really don't know what I'm talking about.  This weekend will go by super fast because it's a three day weekend.  We will see, maybe I'll get lucky and have a nice, long, relaxing weekend.

Today's manicure is something springy using a few of my lovely Morgan Taylor nail polishes.  I have been using a LOT of ORLY polishes lately, so I'm going to try to break those posts up with the random other brands I've used over the past few weeks.  Honestly, at this rate I could do a good two weeks of ORLY posts.  That's what happens when you fall in love with their new neon collection.

Getting off topic, back to this manicure.  I saw a very cute yellow and taupe floral design on Pinterest and decided to put my own twist on it.  Let's take a look!

Colors Used:
  • Morgan Taylor - Rule the Runway
  • Morgan Taylor - Potts of Tea
  • Morgan Taylor - Days in the Sun
Isn't it lovely?  I never would have thought of this color combination if it weren't for Pinterest.  I love how the taupe and pale yellow blend together.  Rule the Runway is one of my favorite polishes from the Sweetheart Squadron collection that I received last fall.  Two coats and full coverage.  Such a great neutral.

I was very hesitant about Days in the Sun from the Beauty and the Beast collection.  I'm not a fan of pale yellows, and this one has a very subtle pink shimmer.  I honestly thought it was going to wash me out, and take at least three coats to get full coverage.  I was pleasantly surprised to see that it only took two coats, and was absolutely gorgeous.

What do you think?  Fan of this manicure?  Liking that dotted accent nail like I am?  Honestly think I like it better than the flowers.

Until next time, <3.

The One With The Summery ORLY Dry Brush Mani

Good morning polished world and Happy Monday!  I apologize for not posting yesterday, but I thought I didn't have any photos editted, but in reality I did.  So I rushed and editted these photos to just see the random drafts all ready to go.  I need to get on a much better blogging schedule.

Well, the weather here is still crazy as all crazy.  It was in the 80s last week, and now it's in the 50s.  It's causing havoc on my sinuses and allergies.  On top of it, with all this weather changing, there has been a lot of rain, which is causing a lot of flooding along the lakeshore.  I feel horrible, people's houses are literally falling into the lake.  It's very sad, yesterday we took a drive through some of the areas and roads are literally gone.

Anyways, since the weather is crappy, I thought I would share a bright, fun dry brush manicure using some of my favorite ORLY neon polishes.  Seriously, China Glaze and ORLY make my favorite neon polishes.

Let's take a look!

Colors Used:
  • ORLY -For The First Time
  • ORLY - Thrill Seeker
  • ORLY - Sea You Soon
  • ORLY - White Tips
  • ORLY - Liquid Vinyl
Isn't it amazing, this is like the third manicure in a row where I've used the same brand.  At least I think it is.  I should go back and look at my past posts.  Regardless, ORLY, China Glaze, and OPI are becoming staples in my stash, alongside my Sally Hansen polishes.  I am kind of curious to find out how many of each brand I own.

I love how these colors go together.  Thrill Seeker is one of my all time favorite neon polishes.  It's a bright yellow-green neon that when used on it's own covers in two coats.  Unlike Glowstick by ORLY which covers in like ten billion coats.  Well Glowstick also is more of a highlighter green, whereas this has a green tinge to it.

Sea You Soon is the blue polish used in this manicure.  It is part of the new summer collection and I cannot wait to wear it on it's own.  It's soooo pretty.  It's a shimmery version of Skinny Dip.  I should swatch them side by side....

What do you think?  Like this look?  Fan of the ORLY neon polishes??

Until next time, <3.

Good morning polished world!  Happy Thursday to you all!  It's going to be 87 degrees here today, so that means I'm breaking out the flip flops.  Although, I need to paint my toes.  I've been holding off on doing a pedicure yet because the temperature is going to drop back down in the 60s next week.  The weather cannot make up it's mind.

Today is polka dot day at my work, so it's only fitting that I share a polka dot manicure with you!  With this warmer weather I've been feeling warmer, summer colors.  A few weeks ago I purchased a few of the shades from the OPI Fiji collection.  Normally I don't gravitate towards orange and yellow polishes, but OPI has some awesome creams, so I couldn't say no to these.

Let's take a look!

Colors Used:
  • OPI - My Boyfriend Scales Walls
  • OPI - No Tan Lines
  • OPI - Exotic Birds Do Not Tweet
  • OPI - Hey Baby
Oh my goodness, I love No Tan Lines and Exotic Birds Do Not Tweet.  I need to actually swatch them, but they are just so bright and perfect.  I cannot wait to use them as a base.  The other day I used a yellow polish and I should have used Exotic Birds, but instead stupidly went for a pale yellow.  Okay, it wasn't stupid because the manicure is really cute, but I need to swatch this pretty.

I love this color combination.  I got the idea from seeing a similar manicure over on Pinterest.  I believe it was by TrendyPolish but do not quote me.  I think I want to do this manicure again but with a black base and some bright, bright neons.

What do you think?  Like this color combination?  Fan of these OPI polishes??

Look at me posting all week.  I'm so proud of myself.  Now I need to edit more photos for the 7 posts that I have drafted......

Until next time, <3.

Flowers

The One With Zoya Rikki and Some Daisies

9:00:00 AM

Good morning polished world!  How are you all doing on this fine Tuesday.  As promised I am going to be actually blogging more consistently.  Ten dollars bets I'll be consistent for like a week and then forget to blog all next week.  My life, what can I say.

The weather is getting warmer and Spring is certainly here.  Every time I sit and paint my nails, I want to do something floral just because of the weather.  You think I'd be getting tired of floral nails, but I don't think I ever will.  They're always just so cute.

Let's take a look at today's floral!

Colors Used:
  • Zoya - Rikki
  • Acrylics
Isn't it so cute?!  I forgot that I owned Zoya Rikki.  It's a gorgeous foil green polish with those gold metallic flecks throughout.  It has such dimension to it because of those flecks.  Two coats and full coverage.  Pain in the booty to remove though.  I feel like all the polishes from that collection were a pain.  I need to go through my stash and find them all and actually use them again.  They were gorgeous foils.

What do you think?  Like this simple daisy look?  Something good for Spring?

Until next time, <3.

The One With OPI Polly Want a Lacquer? and Daisies

Good morning polished world!  Happy Sunday and Happy Mother's Day to all the mom's out there!  We are laying low here today for our celebrations.  Just going to my sister's house for some food and relaxing.  Yesterday I literally slept most of the day, then baked for today, did my nails, and edited a ton of photos.  So today relaxing sounds kind of eh, but I'm sure I'm going to love it.

That's right, I finally got around to editing posts.  So now I have about 4 out of 7 done.  Tomorrow I'm going to try to do the rest and then, get this, I'm going to pre-publish the posts as well.  That's the goal, but I doubt it will happen.

Today's post is a cute floral print which I think is nice for Mother's Day.   This lavender purple is my great grandmother's favorite color, so whenever I wear it I think of her.  So in the end, this really is a fitting manicure for today.

Let's take a look!

Colors Used:
  • OPI - Polly Want a Lacquer?
  • OPI - My Boyfriend Scales Walls
  • OPI - This Crown Needs a Gown
  • OPI - In True Stefani Fashion
Yup, you read that right, I used all one brand for this manicure.  I love having a collection large enough that I'm able to do so.  Speaking of the size of my collection,  I really need to build my new Melmers because the overflow right now is ridiculous.  That, or I need to get some sort of shelving.  I think the Melmer building makes more sense.

Anyways, I got off topic.  Polly Want a Lacquer? is a gorgeous purple shade which covered completely in two coats.  I absolutely love this shade.  Perfect for Spring, and honestly I think it will look great for summer pedicures.

What do you think?  Like this polka dotted floral design?  Fan of the purple polish?

Until next time, <3.

China Glaze

The One With the Dot and Rose Manicure

9:00:00 AM

Happy Wednesday polished world!  How are you all doing today?  I realized that I have seven posts to still share with you, but I have not gotten around to editting the photos.  I believe I'm going to have to do that over the next few days.  This slacking is becoming awful.  I keep forgetting to update my poor Instagram.  At least I finally got around to updating my Facebook.

A few months ago, I stumbled across a cute dot manicure with roses created by Sensationails4U on Instagram.  I pinned it and forgot about it until I received the Beauty and the Beast polishes from Morgan Taylor.  The pink, Be Our Guest, was beyond perfect for it so I finally re-created the design.

Let's take a look!

Colors Used:
  • Morgan Taylor - Be Our Guest
  • China Glaze - Boho Blues
  • Various Acrylics
Isn't it cute?  I absolutely loved this manicure.  The color combination, the polka dots, the roses.  All of it was just so perfect.  I do think that if I ever create this manicure again, I would have three nails with the rose design, and two with the plain pink and polka dots.  Mainly because I love roses.  When I did this manicure, I thought about doing it that way, but I was kind of on the lazy side of things and didn't feel like over-arting.

Boho Blues is one of my favorite China Glaze polishes.  Gorgeous periwinkle cream polish which covers completely in two coats.  It's one of my favorite colors for a summer pedicure with a top coat of INM Northern Lights.  Might have to try a holo topper over it this year....

Morgan Taylor Be Our Guest is a gorgeous pink.  Two coats for full coverage.  Not a color I would typically gravitate towards, but am beyond happy that I own it.  I always say I don't gravitate towards pink, yet my nail polish collection is heavy with pinks.  I don't know how that happens....

What do you think?  Fan of this floral?  Like the color combo??

 Until next time, <3.

Animal Print

The One With ORLY Vintage and a Leopard Print

9:00:00 AM

Good morning polished world!  How are you all doing today?  It's Sunday, and it's May 7th, and it's freezing.  Seriously, we went from 80 degree weather right back to 40 degree weather.  It's been raining non stop, so it feels horribly damp outside.  And tomorrow, we are supposed to get snow.  Oh summer, where art thou?

Today I'm bringing you a semi bright manicure to help cheer me up in this awful weather.  I saw a post on Facebook with this manicure, but I honestly cannot remember who originally posted it.  You know how Facebook is now filled with tens of millions of videos shared by everyone with little to no credit.  I need to start saving the videos so I can attempt to give credit.

Okay, let's take a look!

Colors Used:
  • ORLY - Vintage
  • ORLY - White Tips
  • ORLY - Liquid Vinyl
  • ILNP - Mega X
I love the bright mint mixed with the black and silver.  You know how much I love ILNP Mega X.  I honestly think I've used it in the last three manicures that I've posted on the blog.  I really need to re-order a bottle the next time that ILNP has a promo coupon.  I know, I should just purchase them at full price and not wait, but I have enough for a bit.

I am so beyond happy that I have finally gotten my hands on ORLY Vintage.  This polish came out a few years ago but since Sally Beauty stopped selling the Limited Edition collections, I was unable to find it anywhere.  I debated a few times about ordering it from HBBeauty Bar, but I always talked myself out of it.  A few months back, I was at Sally Beauty stocking up on some of my favorites during a BOGO sale, and the girls told me that there were some new ORLY's added to the main line.  I was beyond thrilled to see Vintage among some others that I was dying to get.  It's such a gorgeous polish which covers completely in two coats.  I just LOVE the color.

What do you think?  Like this leopard print?  Own ORLY Vintage and love it as much as I do?

Until next time, <3.

China Glaze

The One With the Neon Pink Flowers

9:00:00 AM

Happy Thursday everyone!!!  I have a headache right now as I type this post so I'm going to make it short and sweet.  It already kind of is because I only took one photo for the post.  You'll probably be seeing me converting more of my posts to just bottle shots.  Especially if I don't have my thumb all fancy, there really is no point to do all the others, right?  I don't know, I'm trying to justify my lazy blogger skills.

Today's manicure is a bright neon pink manicure with a fun dot floral accent.  I liked the concept of this design, but on the nail I feel like something was lost.  Maybe I should have done a plain silver accent instead of a holo, but oh well.  It still is pretty.

Let's take a look!

Colors Used:
  • China Glaze - Lip Smackin Good
  • ILNP - Mega X
  • ORLY - Liquid Vinyl
I really love Lip Smackin Good.  Such a gorgeous pink neon which covers completely in two coats.  It has such a gorgeous shimmer to it as well.  I hope that China Glaze makes this part of their core collection, as well as a lot of others from last year's summer collection.

What do you think?  Fan of this manicure?  Something you'd try?

Okay, I"m going to go rest my headache.  Until next time, <3.

Monthly Mani Favs

The One With April's #MonthlyManiFavs

9:00:00 AM

Good morning polished world, and Happy May.  I apologize for not getting this post up yesterday, but it's been a crazy busy weekend.  Actually, I feel like this whole month has been crazy busy.  I do hope that May slows down a tad for me.  I'm also going to turn my focus back to this blog and all my social networks.  I haven't updated Facebook in about a month, Instagram is severely lacking, and I rarely am ever on Twitter.  Sigh.

When creating this post, I also realized how much I've neglected this blog.  I'm ashamed with how little I've posted.  I literally have 7 drafts, but never got around to actually writing the posts or editing the photos.  This slacking must stop!

Well, anyways, I looked at all 9 posts from April and selected my favorite four.  Let's take a look!

  1. The One with Round 35 of Bestie Twin Nails with Fashion Footing - Yup, as usual my Bestie Twin Nails with Amanda have made the list.  This has to be one of my favorites mainly because of the color combination and that perfect splatter.  I need to start using my taupe polishes more often.  For years, I never owned any, now I do and I neglect them.  Always happens that way.
  2. The One With Yet Another Floral Manicure - I absolutely loved this floral design.  If you follow my Instagram, then you know one of my resident's loved the design as well and wanted to have the exact same design on her nails.  I'm sad, I missed painting their nails two weeks ago so I need to make time and do them again this week.  The base of this manicure is one of the lovely polishes from the Morgan Taylor Beauty and the Beast collection.  Head on over to the post to see why I love it so much.
  3. Sally Hansen - #ColorOfTheMoment - Sally Hansen has this new campaign called the Color of the Moment where they are sharing exactly that....the color of the moment!  This month's colors were pink, which honestly I'm never too fond of, but I really did enjoy these shades.  I created a fun negative space floral design with a matching gradient.  I love how it all blended together.
  4. The One With the Lime Green Zebra Print Manicure - I was feeling summery in April and decided to paint my nails with the brightest, neonest green that I own.  That's right, neonest.  I made up a word.  Love the combination and that holo accent of ILNP Mega X.  You know me and my silver holos.....love.
What do you think??  Any of these your favorite?  I kind of wish I picked one of my Easter designs because they were cute.....oh well.

Okay, I promise May is going to be better.  Promise!!!

Until next time, <3.
