Good morning Polished World, and Merry Christmas!!!!  December 25th is finally here, and I successfully brought you Christmas designs the whole month.  I'm rather proud of myself for this one.  Not going to lie, I was editing the photos for this post at 11:30pm last evening.  Santa was getting impatient with me since I wasn't sleeping and he couldn't deliver the gifts.

Santa understood though when he saw what today's post is!  I feel it's been awhile since I've done a little Santa Claus nail art, but after doing the Elf ones, I felt I had to.  Not to mention, I promised my residents at work that I would have my nails matching my Santa leggings for their "party".  I use the term party loosely since you know, social distancing and small groups.  Sigh, COVID needs to go away ASAP.  Despite the small group, they had fun, and loved my nails.

Let's take a look!

Colors Used:
  • Nine Zero Lacquer - Santa Suit
  • Nine Zero Lacquer - Cat in the Christmas Tree
  • Acrylics and such
Isn't the big guy adorable?  I literally copied the design I did a few years ago because it matched the leggings so well.  While yes these are adorable, there's something about the original ones that hold a special place in my heart and I feel they look better.  Probably because my nails were in better condition than they are now and weren't constantly breaking.  Again, I blame COVID because I'm washing my hands constantly and bathing in sanitizer.

They're still adorable though.  I'm not complaining.  As always, Nine Zero Lacquer's Santa Suit is the perfect red for Christmas.  It reminds me of Say Love by ILNP except it is a tad lighter and a little more jelly-like.  Both are gorgeous, both apply wonderfully, both have holo, and both scream Christmas.  What more can you want?!

What do you think?  Loving the Santa?

Now it's time to try to do some New Years nails.  Wish me luck!!!

Hope you all have a very Merry and Blessed Christmas!

Until next time, <3.

The One With the Final Christmas Manicure of 2018

9:00:00 AM

Good morning Polished World!!  Merry Christmas to you all!!!  I cannot believe Christmas is already here.  I have zero idea where this year went, but it is what it is.  Despite the fact the year went fast, it is Christmas, Christ was born and He's the greatest present we could have ever received.  Seriously, it bugs me when people write "X'mas."  We wouldn't have Christmas if it weren't for Christ.

Today I'm sharing with you all my last Christmas manicure.  I saw a similar idea on Pinterest of a little present and candy cane look, and I decided to make my own little twist on the idea.  I wasn't a huge fan of it, but I do like it.

Let's take a look!

Colors Used:
  • Nine Zero Lacquer - Santa Suit
  • Nine Zero Lacquer - Cat in the Christmas Tree
  • China Glaze - Merry Whatever
  • ORLY - White Tips

So, here's my problem with this manicure.  It looks like two manicures put together.  I feel like my ring finger and pinkie are one manicure, then my index and middle finger are another.  I think I should have done my pinkie finger with Cat in the Christmas Tree, then my middle finger with Santa Suit.  It kind of comes together, but once I got the idea in my head that it looked like two different manicures, I couldn't get it out of my head.

Yup, see, looking at the mani in that photo I can see it even more like it's two different manicures.  I probably should have done the middle finger even with the candy cane design.  Hmmm.  Oh well, too late now.

What do you think?  Do you see what I see with the two different manicures??

Merry Christmas to all my followers.  Always remember the real reason for the season!

Until next time, <3.

The One With the Christmas Dotticure

9:00:00 AM

Good morning polished world!  How are you all doing today?  It's finally Friday and Christmas is right around the corner.  That's right, Christmas is almost here and that means it's almost time for me to finish up posting only Christmas manicures.  I'm still surprised that I have gone all month with doing only holiday themed designs.  I really thought I wasn't going to make it because work has been so busy, but here I am!!  Successfully completing my blog task.

Today's design is the child born after a disasticure.  The other night I tried to do this holly design but it looked horrid.  Everything smeared, the leaves weren't shaped right, just everything was horrid.  So when it was midnight and I had naked nails I just decided to grab two of my favorite Christmas polishes and do a simple dotticure.

Let's take a look!

Colors Used:
  • Nine Zero Lacquer - Santa Suit
  • Nine Zero Lacquer - Cat in the Christmas Tree
My two favorite scattered holo Christmas crellys.  They are beyond amazing.  Two coats, full coverage, and gorgeous shiny finished look.  I absolutely love Cat in the Christmas Tree.  It's a green polish that is truly unique to my collection.

What do you think?  Fan of this simple Christmas look?  Like the polishes??

Until next time, <3.

Christmas

The One With the Santa Claus Nail Art

9:00:00 AM

Good morning polished world!!!  Welcome to Wednesday.  Middle of the work week....is it over yet?  We are in a winter storm warning so it will be an interesting day.  Hoping it's a work from home day, aka a work from bed day.  That sounds just so wonderful, but I doubt it will happen.

Continuing with the Christmas manicures and they are starting to get a tad more intricate!  On Sunday at work we had the resident/family Christmas party.  Of course I wanted to be super festive, so I went out and bought myself the cutest Christmas leggings with Santa Claus on them.  It only made sense to match my nails to the leggings.

Let's take a look!

Colors Used:
  • Nine Zero Lacquer - Santa Suit
  • Nine Zero Lacquer - Cat in the Christmas Tree
  • OPI - Pale to the Chief
  • ORLY - White Tips
Isn't this the cutest manicure ever?!  I am obsessed with this little guy.  I was going to take the design off after two days because my right hand chipped some, but I just couldn't bring myself to do so.  I think this is my favorite Santa design of all time.  I don't think I did one last year because I honestly never liked how mine turned out.  I think taking a year off was good for me.

Santa Suit by Nine Zero Lacquer is a gorgeous red scattered holo polish.  Kind of a crelly consistency which needed two coats.  Perfect Christmas red which really does remind me of a Santa Suit.

Here's a crappy cell phone shot of my manicure with my leggings.  Doesn't my manicure match them perfectly??  My goal now is to get leggings for every holiday and paint my nails to match them.

What do you think?  Fan of this manicure?  Love the leggings like I do??

Until next time, <3.

The One With the Christmas Lights

9:00:00 AM

Good morning polished world!  Happy Sunday!  I'm excited for today, if the weather doesn't go crazy, I'm going to my friends house to make cut out cookies, and then attempt to ice them with royal icing.  You know, make adorable cookies like they have on Pinterest and Instagram.  I'll document our journey on Instagram for everyone!

Today I'm bringing you yet another Christmas design.  Every year I paint Christmas lights on my nails.  Last year I purchased a few polishes from the NineZero Lacquer holiday collection, including Twinkle Lights.  So, this year I'm re-creating last years Christmas light manicure on top of Twinkle Lights.

Let's take a look!

Colors Used:
  • Nine Zero Lacquer - Twinkle Lights
  • Acrylics
Twinkle Lights is a silver holographic polish with semi transparent rainbow glitter.  A perfect polish to resemble twinkly Christmas lights.  Two coats and I had full coverage.  The rainbow glitter disperses evenly on the nail.  No need for dabbing or glitter placement.  It's a true beauty.

I love the holographic glittery base for this nail art.  I debated on making my lights "twinkle" by adding some colored glitter on top, but I'm happy that I didn't.  I think the cream art on top of the glitter makes the art really stand out.

What do you think? Fan of this design? Do you own this NineZero??  If not, you should probably go buy it.  Perfect for Christmas and year round!

Until next time, <3.

Animal Print

The One With the Pastel Leopard Gradient

9:00:00 AM

Good morning polished world and Happy Sunday!  I cannot believe the weekend is already over.  It seems like it just began.  That's always how it happens after you have a super long week....the weekend ends up being shorter than short.  Oh well!  At least I have lots of pretty new polish to play with tonight, so that's a good thing!  May or may not have finally caved and purchased the whole Neon Pastel Poptastic Polishes from Color Club.  So so excited.

Anyways, today I am sharing with you a pastel leopard gradient manicure that I did last week using some of my Sinful Colors pastel polishes.  I'm really feeling Spring so I've been slowly digging out all my pastels, and well clearly purchasing some new ones.

Let's take a look at what I came up with!

Colors Used:
  • Sinful Colors - A-Crush
  • Sinful Colors - Chalk it Up
  • Nine Zero Lacquer - Holo all the Things
  • Black acrylic
This is kind of a gorgeous gradient.  I really wish it photographed better.  Pastels always are washed out and neons are always dull.  Photography can really be a tricky thing sometimes.  Anyways, I did a pretty blue to green gradient using A-Crush and Chalk It Up.  I kind of think that A-Crush is more of a periwinkle blue than it is a true blue.  Maybe a purple blue?  Isn't that just periwinkle?  I don't know.  I'll call it periwinkle.

I believe these polishes were part of a back to school collection Sinful came out with last year.  They are demi-matte polishes so I'm assuming that means they dry matte when you use them on their own.  Since I used them for nail art and a gradient, I really couldn't tell if they were matte or not.

For the gradient, they were super opaque.  I didn't have to dab the sponge on my nails a zillion times to get the color to transfer like I do with other pastels.  Actually, it was too dark when I first did it, so I went through with white on the make up sponge and lightened them up a bit.  I then added a top coat of Holo All the Things for a nice shimmery holo look and boy was it gorgeous.  I really wish you could see it more in the photos.  The one above you can tell there is the effect.

What do you think?  Fan of this look?  Something you've tried?  Do you own the demi mattes?

I kind of have missed Sinful Colors.  I have been eyeing their displays for some time now but none of the colors seem to be popping out to me.  I'm hoping they come out with a pastel line for Spring with some newbies.  Since you know, I need more pastels.

I need to get a start on some St. Patrick's Day Manicures!!!!  Maybe tonight!  Although that means I won't be using my pastels.....hmmmm.

Until next time, <3.

Twinsie Tuesday: Shattered Glass

9:00:00 AM

Good morning polished world!  How are you all doing today?  It's snowing here!  It's about time my new tires get some use.  I was starting to think I could get one more winter out of the old ones.  I'm so thankful I bought them because I really would have skid off the road for sure last night.

It's Tuesday which means it is time for another Twinsie Tuesday!!  This week we are sharing shattered glass manicures.  Now, usually this design is done using cellophane, but I didn't have any of that, so I had to improvise.  It came to me that stained glass windows are created using pieces of shattered glass.  Right?  Maybe?

Regardless, I decided to do a stained glass manicure.  After looking around pinterest, I found this gorgeous design by Miss Bella Tracy and I decided to re-create it.

Let's take a look!

Colors Used:
  • China Glaze - Assorted Neons
  • Nine Zero Lacquer - Holo All the Things
  • Orly - Instant Artist Black

So I didn't do a typical sponge gradient for this manicure!  Instead, I did a dry brush!  Meaning, I started with a purple polish and dry brushed it over white, then did the same with the other colors down the rest of the nail.  When I added a top coat it blended it together and it looked like I did a sponged gradient!  Honestly creating a gradient this way took a lot less time and clean up versus the typical gradient.  I'm sure though I wouldn't be able to do it for all designs, but I might try it again in the near future!

Once my gradient was complete, I added a top coat of Holo All The Things by Nine Zero Lacquer.  I am so happy to have a holo topper in my collection!  Now I will literally be holo-ing all the things!  The top coat dried kind of matte, so after I did my stained glass lines, I added a topper of INM Out the Door.  This made the whole manicure shine and sparkle.

What do you think?  Fan of this look?  Pass for shattered glass?

Don't forget to check out the other Twinsies!

Santa Nail Art with Nine Zero Lacquer Santa Suit!

9:00:00 AM

Good morning polished world!  Yes, I am here posting two days in a row, you are not seeing things.  I meant to have this post up last Friday, but I ended up with an awful migraine and couldn't muster any strength or energy to look at the computer and write the post up.

So here I am today, cramming in one of my last Christmas manicures before Friday!  Today I am sharing with you my annual Santa manicure.  I purchased a bottle of Nine Zero Lacquer Santa Suit, so it was only fitting that I create a Santa manicure using this polish.  I decided to do the same thing I did with my penguin manicure and do the head on the middle finger and the body on my ring.

Let's take a look!

Colors Used:
  • Nine Zero Lacquer - Santa Suit
  • Orly - Mirrorball
  • Acrylics
If you read my post yesterday, then you already know my love for these Nine Zero Lacquers.  Two coats, and you have perfect, sparkly perfection.  I had my doubts about this polish because it's red, and well you know how much I don't like red polish.  All those doubts went away as soon as I had my base on for this manicure.  I almost felt like skipping the Santa and just having a plain swatch.  That's how you know I truly love a polish!

For my thumb, which I have pictured in the photos above, I decided to do a little Christmas present.  I did two coats of Orly Mirrorball for that nail and then used a toothpick and Santa Suit to draw the bow.  Can I tell you how this nail was the most awesome thing on the face of this earth?  I thought that my pointer and pinkie nails were sparkly.  The holo and sparkle of Mirrorball attached itself to the Nine Zero and caused some sort of cosmic sparkle explosion.

Overall, this manicure is one of my favorites.  It was truly festive because of the polish.  Jess really created an awesome Christmas collection!

What do you think?  Fan of this manicure?  Something you see yourself doing for Christmas?

I'll be back probably on Christmas Eve with my last Christmas manicure!!!!  Until then, <3.

Twinsie Tuesday: Special Holiday Manicure!

9:00:00 AM

Good morning polished world!  How are you all doing today?  It's Tuesday, and that means, at least for this week, it is time for Twinsie Tuesday!  This week we are doing a special holiday themed post! This is open to interpretation for each Twinsie, so I can't wait to see what everyone does!

Since Christmas is Friday, I decided to do a Christmas themed manicure.  I saw a very cute candy stripe manicure by Sensationails4U on Instagram.  I fell in love with the fun mish mosh manicure and really wanted to try it some time this year.  I sat down to do it and had two cream polishes, and then I looked and saw my new Nine Zero Lacquer Christmas polishes and knew they had to be used.  I'm so happy I saw them, because this manicure is amazing thanks to them!

Let's take a look!

Colors Used:
  • Nine Zero Lacquer - Cat in the Christmas Tree
  • Nine Zero Lacquer - Santa Suit
  • Orly - White Tips
How.amazing.are.these.polishes?!  I cannot get over the gorgeousness of them!  Both polishes are jelly bases packed with holo glitter.  First coat for both was very sheer and I was nervous it wouldn't build up.  After applying a second coat though, I had full, gorgeous, shimmery, glittery coverage.  They dried a tad dull, but after one coat of Out the Door I had the shiniest manicure ever.

I am beyond THRILLED to have these polishes.  For ages I've searched for a perfect red and green Christmas polish, and in my opinion these truly are them.

I used my Twinkled T nail vinyls to get the stripes.  I'm so happy I purchased the assorted striped pack, because for awhile there I sat and debated on if I would actually use them.  Part of me prefers nail art tape because I can get more control with it, but part of me likes the vinyl because you can get the different sizes.  Maybe I need more practice with my vinyls to like them more than tape??  Who knows.  Regardless, I love how clean and even this manicure turned out using the vinyls.

What do you think?  Do you have any of these polishes?  Aren't they GORGEOUS!?

Don't forget to check out the other Twinsie's posts!

Twinkle Light Nail Art with Nine Zero Lacquer Twinkle Lights!

9:00:00 AM

Good morning polished world!   How are you all doing on this fine Monday?  It's supposed to be 65 degrees here today which is VERY abnormal.  Despite the fact that it's warm, there still is this winter chill in the air.  Which is kind of making me believe that we might get a white Christmas after all.  Who knows though.

Today I am sharing with you my annual Christmas light manicure.  I purchased a few of the Nine Zero Lacquer holiday polishes, one being Twinkle Lights.  It only made sense to create a twinkle light manicure over a polish called Twinkle Lights!

Let's take a look!

Colors Used:
  • Nine Zero Lacquer - Twinkle Lights
  • Acrylic Paints
I cannot get over how gorgeous this polish is!!!  Twinkle Lights is a silver linear holo with semi transparent rainbow glitters throughout.  That's right, semi-transparent rainbow glitters....in a linear holo.  It is just as awesome as it sounds.  I never knew that semi-transparent glitter was a thing, but using them in this silver holo was genius.

The polish applied perfectly in two coats.  After the first coat, I was really unsure that I would get full coverage because it was very sheer.  Then second coat, the silver built up, the glitters evenly covered, and it was perfection.

To create the lights, I used a nail art brush and drew the "wire" onto my nails with a black acrylic polish.  I then went through with a toothpick and outlined all the light bulbs.  Once the outlines were dry, I used a small dotting tool and filled in all the empty spaces like a coloring book.  Again, with a toothpick, I drew on the white line.

Last year, I then went through and added glitter over the top of the lights which really made them sparkle.  I debated on doing that this year, but decided against it because I thought it would take away from the gorgeous base.  Now after seeing the photos, I'm really happy I kept the lights a plain cream.  I think it added dimension, and look like they're almost popping off the base.

What do you think?  Do you like the lights?  Are you a fan of Nine Zero Lacquer?

I cannot wait to show you my next manicure using Santa Suit by Nine Zero Lacquer.  It's just as gorgeous as this polish!

Until next time, <3.
