Good morning polished world!  How are you all doing today?  It's Tuesday and the Twinsie's are returning for Twinsie Tuesday!  This week we are sharing "bright" manicures!  China Glaze came out with some amazing polishes this summer with the Lite Brite collection!  I snagged a lot of them but am sad I do not own them all.

One of my favorites from the collection is Bite Me.  A gorgeous coral shimmer cream.  Super bright, and perfect for today's post!

Super gorgeous color.  In this picture, you can really see the shimmer.  Bite Me has full coverage in two coats.  It's one of those neons that can be kind of difficult to apply.  The polish dries rather fast so it can pull if you aren't careful.  Second coat for sure has to be a little thicker as to not drag the first coat.  I hope that makes sense, in my polished mind it does.  Regardless, the difficult application is worth it because the color is amazing.

Oh my gosh I'm back and posting for Twinsie Tuesday.  Can you believe that I didn't forget this week?  Or didn't have something else scheduled?  Hopefully now I can get back on track and back to consistently posting with everyone!

This week we are posting manicures which were painted by someone else.  Well, it's been kind of a crazy week and I had zero time to ask one of my friends to do my nails for me.  I then thought about having my mom paint my nails, but she was just as busy.  Sooooo, I really had no one else to paint my nails for me.

Despite this, I was determined to post today.  I decided to twist the theme a little bit and do a "mani orders" post.  In the end, someone else is doing my nails because I'm doing something I wouldn't have done otherwise.  Yeah, that's a huge stretch, but whatever.

So, here is what Amanda from Fashion Footing has told me to do forever and a day....a plain cream polish swatch.

Hey all!  How are you all doing today??  Allergy season is in full swing over here so I've become a mouth breather.  I just want to drive around with my windows open but can't because the cotton wood trees are killing me.  Hopefully in a few weeks the pollen and all the other nasty stuff will calm down and I can utilize my sun roof.

Today is Tuesday which means it is time for another Twinsie Tuesday!  This week we are all creating negative space manicures!  When this technique first started to appear in the blog-o-sphere, I really wasn't a huge fan.  I didn't understand why anyone would want to have naked nails.  The point of painting them is to have the nail covered.  After trying a few different negative space designs, I fell in love.  Especially with the negative space florals.

For today's post, I created a gold negative space floral design using one of my new FingerPaints polishes.  Let's take a look!

Good morning polished world!  It's Tuesday which means it is time for another Twinsie Tuesday!  I'm sad to say that after this post I'm going to be taking a brief break from the Twinsie Tuesday group.  I've been a bit busier with things and I can't seem to keep up on the blogging schedule.  So in order to get my head above the water, taking a break seems to be the best solution.  I should be back though in a month or so if all goes well!!

This week we are sharing manicures that are inspired by jewelry.  My goal for this week was to bring you an Easter manicure each time I posted so I wanted to think of something Easter-y for this theme.  I thought out of the box and remembered my variety of cross necklaces.  What's more perfect for an Easter manicure than being inspired by the cross?!

So I decided to take inspiration from my nail art wheel, and recreated a little shadow scene of Calvary.  Let's take a look!

So since I was trying to make my nails look like a dusky sunset, I decided to add a top coat of my favorite holo glitter, INM Northern Lights.  When that was dry, I went through with my nail art brush and acrylic paint and drew my little scene.  Such a simple manicure...liking it a lot!

I then went through with a dotting tool and added the dots and shamrocks.  I kind of think I should have done the shamrocks first then filled the dots in around them because it seems a little busy to me.  Regardless, I do like the look.

Good morning polished world!  How are you all doing today?  Can you believe it is March 1st?!  Where has this year gone already!?  Soon it will be summer, then fall, and back to winter.  I'm jumping too far ahead of myself.

For now it is Tuesday which means it is time for another Twinsie Tuesday.  This weeks theme is marbling, which honestly I wasn't angry about.  If you've been a long time follower of The Little Canvas, then you would know how much I hated marbling anything.  Water marble was my arch nemesis  I never could get it to work, I hated attempting it, and I thought it was a huge waste of polish.

In the past few months though, I decided to reattempt it.  Practice makes perfect, right?  Well it slowly is for me.  And I may or may not be loving water marble!

The marble came out rather well too.  Super Cute in Pink sadly didn't spread as nicely as My Pal Joey because it was more of a crelly formula.  I have to swatch it still, but I have a feeling that it would take about 2-3 coats to be full coverage.

Good morning polished world!  How are you all doing on this fine Tuesday?  Since it is Tuesday, that means it is time for yet another Twinsie Tuesday!  This week our prompt is Mix and Match.  This is the perfect prompt for me because let's face it, all of my manicures are mix and match manis!  For those of you who don't know, a mix and match manicure is where you mix up a bunch of different techniques, and match them together in one manicure.  At least, that's how I interpret it.

So, Amanda from Fashion Footing gave me a coupon code for ILNP.  Since I didn't own any, I thought I would take advantage of the coupon and splurge...and boy did I.  Today's mix and match manicure uses two of my new beauties, Harbour Island and Missed Calls.

My manicure was kind of inspired by this one I found on Pinterest.  I liked the general look of the mix and match acrylics.  Since I loathe all things 3D on my nails, I translated the 3D into nail art using the holos and such.

Good morning polished world!  How are you all doing today?  It's snowing here!  It's about time my new tires get some use.  I was starting to think I could get one more winter out of the old ones.  I'm so thankful I bought them because I really would have skid off the road for sure last night.

It's Tuesday which means it is time for another Twinsie Tuesday!!  This week we are sharing shattered glass manicures.  Now, usually this design is done using cellophane, but I didn't have any of that, so I had to improvise.  It came to me that stained glass windows are created using pieces of shattered glass.  Right?  Maybe?

Regardless, I decided to do a stained glass manicure.  After looking around pinterest, I found this gorgeous design by Miss Bella Tracy and I decided to re-create it.

So I didn't do a typical sponge gradient for this manicure!  Instead, I did a dry brush!  Meaning, I started with a purple polish and dry brushed it over white, then did the same with the other colors down the rest of the nail.  When I added a top coat it blended it together and it looked like I did a sponged gradient!  Honestly creating a gradient this way took a lot less time and clean up versus the typical gradient.  I'm sure though I wouldn't be able to do it for all designs, but I might try it again in the near future!


Once my gradient was complete, I added a top coat of Holo All The Things by Nine Zero Lacquer.  I am so happy to have a holo topper in my collection!  Now I will literally be holo-ing all the things!  The top coat dried kind of matte, so after I did my stained glass lines, I added a topper of INM Out the Door.  This made the whole manicure shine and sparkle.

I'm not a huge fan of nail wraps.  I love look of them, but they feel heavy on my nails.  If you're used to wraps, you probably won't even notice this.  I have a wonky nail line and I found that these fit that perfectly.  This is because the wraps are double sided so you can truly pick a size.

What I really liked about this design was that I could pick and choose what design I wanted on what nail.  I decided to make my pointer and pinkie the same, but I could have played around with them and made them more like a skittle if I wanted to.

Good morning polished world!  How are you all doing today?  It's Tuesday, and that means, at least for this week, it is time for Twinsie Tuesday!  This week we are doing a special holiday themed post! This is open to interpretation for each Twinsie, so I can't wait to see what everyone does!

Since Christmas is Friday, I decided to do a Christmas themed manicure.  I saw a very cute candy stripe manicure by Sensationails4U on Instagram.  I fell in love with the fun mish mosh manicure and really wanted to try it some time this year.  I sat down to do it and had two cream polishes, and then I looked and saw my new Nine Zero Lacquer Christmas polishes and knew they had to be used.  I'm so happy I saw them, because this manicure is amazing thanks to them!

I used my Twinkled T nail vinyls to get the stripes.  I'm so happy I purchased the assorted striped pack, because for awhile there I sat and debated on if I would actually use them.  Part of me prefers nail art tape because I can get more control with it, but part of me likes the vinyl because you can get the different sizes.  Maybe I need more practice with my vinyls to like them more than tape??  Who knows.  Regardless, I love how clean and even this manicure turned out using the vinyls.
