Valentines Day Nail Art Wheel

9:00:00 AM

Hi polished world!  How are you this fine day?  Valentines Day is right around the corner *BLECH*  I really cannot tell you how much I hate this Hallmark holiday.  We should show our love and appreciation for those close to us 24/7 and not just on this day.

Since I did my Christmas Nail Art Wheel, I have been itching to create another one.  Originally, I was not going to do one for this stupid day, but some followers asked, and well I enjoy creating on the little wheels so I thought why not?  Plus, I thought it would force me to use my pink polishes which sit in the corner of my Melmer just wishing to be used.

Pardon the broken off nail on the top.  I hated a nail I did so I just broke it off.

I kind of took inspiration from many bloggers when it came to this wheel, mainly because, as I said, I hate Valentines Day.  I really couldn't get my creative juices flowing to be 110% original due to all that bubbling hate lol.

Let's see, the patchwork heart and conversation heart nails were inspired by Polish Art Addiction.  The heart on the bottom next to the XOXO nail was inspired by a recent tutorial by One Nail to Rule Them All, except in hers she did little flowers, I opted for dots because it was easier.  The Zoya Pixie rose was inspired by my own manicure which was inspired by @miss_prettynails on Instagram.  Last year I did the leopard print with hidden hearts and graffitti heart design on  my own nails.  And last but not least, the little cute owl was slightly inspired by Chalkboard Nails Valentines owls she did awhile ago.  She did the little guys sitting on a branch, where I just did a whole owl on the nail like I have done in the past when I did owl manicures.  The rest, well they really are mish moshes of ideas from others that you can't really trace back to an original person.  Seriously, roses...that could come from anywhere so no yelling at me.

I do have three favorites though on this wheel.  Can you guess which they are??  Head on in to the post to see!

When I first started blogging, I did a doily heart design which I was super proud of.  This design was inspired by a tutorial by Hey Nice Nails.  I wanted to do this design again as a celebration of the 2 year anniversary of this blog.  So that's why I am highlighting it now as one of my favorites.  So simple to do and so adorable.  I really always will have a special place in my heart for this design because it was one of my very firsts.

Next up we have a planted flower look which was inspired by Simply Rins Planted Heart Flower nails.  I love how her hearts had brown little stems.  I decided to do all green and include more flowers along the nail.  I did so many flowers because the nail on the wheel is so much larger than my actual nails so I thought it would look cuter.  I really love how it turned out.  Like little heart tulips :).

Third nail I'm highlighting is this mosaic heart which was inspired by Dressed Up Nails.  Ever since I saw this design, I was dying to re-create it one way or another.  My nails, I believe, are too short to ever get this design on, so I couldn't pass up an opportunity to create it on a larger canvas.  I give Whitney so much credit that she did this design on all her nails, because this was the hardest nail for me to do on the wheel.  You had to be so perfect with the black outlines and if you messed up you basically had to start over.  Seriously, round of applause to her.

What is your favorite nail?

I love the nail art community because if it didn't exist,I never would have been able to create a wheel that I am beyond proud to have made.  Plus, it forced me out of my comfort zone which is something I couldn't be more grateful for.  Now that I created a few designs, I am inspired to do my own original idea that I probably never would have thought of if it weren't for this wheel!  I can't wait to sit down and actually attempt the design!!!!

Hopefully this wheel inspired you, and maybe introduced you to some amazingly talented ladies you didn't know were out there!  Always remember, give credit where credit is due :)

Until next time, <3.
