Morgan Taylor Beauty and the Beast Collection Swatch and Review Part 1
9:00:00 AMOkay, attempt number two. Hello polished world! How are you all doing today?? I say that this is attempt number two because I wrote this whole post, hit schedule, and it disappeared. Poof, gone, away. That's never happened and I'm honestly so confused.
Anyways, today I have a swatch post for you all today! It's been quite some time since I've shared swatches, and that's honestly because it's kind of a pain in the behind to create them. Paint, photograph, remove, paint, photograph, remove....it's so monotonous. The removing part is my least favorite.
When I received the new Morgan Taylor Beauty and the Beast Collection from Preen.Me, I just had to swatch it. I was all prepped to suck it up, forget my hate of the swatching process, and just go for it. That was until Sarah from 25 Sweet Peas told me about the Sally Hansen Big Peel Off Base Coat. Now swatching is something I can see myself doing a lot more of!!!
Enough of my babbling, the Beauty and the Beast collection consists of 6 polishes and 1 top coat. Let's take a look!
First up we have Potts of Tea, a gorgeous white polish with a subtle shimmer. Two coats and full coverage. You can see the shimmer better in person, but you can kind of see it in the pinkie nail in the photo. Cannot wait to use this beauty as a base for nail art.
Be Our Guest is a pretty pink cream. Two coats and full coverage. If you like pinks, you'll like this polish.
Days In the Sun is your classic Beauty and the Beast yellow polish. Two coats of this pale yellow polish with a pink shimmer. I was surprised that it was just two coats because most pale yellow polishes like this require at least three coats. Quite lovely.
Gaston and On and On is a gorgeous baby blue cream. Two coats and full coverage. You know me and my baby blue polishes, I'm always in love with them.
The Last Petal is a pretty magenta shimmer polish. One coat guys, one coat. Not my favorite, but I don't hate it. I just don't gravitate towards these darker colors.
Last but not least we have Plumette With Excitement, a pale baby pink. Two coats and full coverage. I think this is my favorite in the collection, and that says a lot for me because I never really like pale pink polishes. This one is going to be quite a lovely base for nail art.
What do you think?? Like this collection? Which is your favorite??
Alright, hopefully this post will go live as planned and doesn't disappear when I hit Schedule. If it does, well I'm forgetting it and delaying it for another day. If all goes well, tomorrow head on back to see what the Enchanted Patina top coat does for these beauties!!
Until next time, <3.
