The Meh Manicure

Welcome to this lovely post to discuss the manicure I have disliked for the past 48 hours and have slowly chipped away during my 8 hour work shift. Thursday night was the manicure night from hell. I did three different things and hated them all.
First I attempted a chevron design with Revlon Charming, Sally Hansen Celeb City, and some flakies. The silver and lavender looked horrible together. I then tried doing the Charming with a dark purple, and again, horrible.
So instead of doing a simple manicure, I decided to revert to some nail art. Grabbed my sky blue and decided to do an easy sky manicure.
Photo time...
Colors Used:
- Base
- Color Club - Blue Light - but it might be Factory Girl, I'm still not 100% positive ever since the stupid sticker fell off
- Clouds
- New York Color - French Tip White
- Flowers
- Funky Fingers -Riot!
- Sinful Colors - Cream Pink
- Revlon - Sassy
- Top
- New York Color -- White Lights Glitter
It was an easy manicure which was created 100% with the dotting tool.
I'm not sure why these nails were so "meh" to me. I mainly think it was because I was expecting the Chevrons to kick butt and then they turned into a huge disappointment. I also kind of wish I didn't do the flower accent nails and just did clouds on all my nails. Oh well, lessons learned.
I want to attempt the Chevrons again, next time with a dark purple and the silver. Thoughts? Does anyone have a good idea of what colors would look amazing with one another??
