The One With the Insta-Dri Roses

9:00:00 AM

Good morning polished world!  How are you all doing on this wonderful Monday?  Can you sense my sarcasm?  Mondays are never wonderful.  Who knows, maybe today will be the exception.  Did everyone have a fun and safe St. Patrick's Day?  I stayed home all day, then went out and bought a Nintendo Switch.  You know, because that's a normal thing for an almost 30 year old to do.  I've also spent an unhealthy amount of time playing The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild, but it's just so amazing, how can I not?  If I disappear from blogging, it's because of Zelda.

Since St. Patrick's Day is over, that means goodbye green, hello pastel Spring looking designs!!  I actually painted this one around Valentine's Day but was holding out on posting it until we were getting closer to Spring/Easter.  Now let's just hope that the weather gets warmer so I can truly start to get in the Spring mood.

Let's take a look at today's manicure!

Colors Used:
  • Sally Hansen - Heather Hustle
  • Sally Hansen - Umm some other colors I just can't remember them....blame Zelda
Heather Hustle is a gorgeous light purple pastel polish which covers completely in two coats.  It worked wonderfully for the base of this design.  It dried super fast so I was able to start my nail art right away.

The next step of this design is to add the polka dots on all the nails.  I find it easier to do the polka dot base then add the flowers versus doing the flowers first then trying to fill the dots in.  Plus, this makes for a more uniformed look.

When the dots were dried, I went through and added the roses, leaves, and the details.  Added a top coat and called it a night.

What do you think? Fan of this look?  Have you tried any of the new Insta Dri formulas?

Until next time, <3.
