Nail Artist of the Month: The Polish Playground!

9:00:00 AM

Hello polished world! How are you all doing today?? I'm not going to lie, when I just started writing this post, I actually wrote "Happy Friday!" It's only Wednesday...Wednesday....and I'm thinking it's Friday. That tells you how long my week is feeling. I'm literally exhausted. Good thing that I don't have to edit photos and create a post today!!!

I'm so pleased to introduce you all to Lisa from The Polish Playground. She is the December Nail Artist of the Month!! Lisa is a fellow Twinsie, and an awesome supporter of my blog!!! She comments on every single one of my posts, and it is so appreciated.

I should have featured her a long time ago because she creates some awesome manicures! Everybody, please welcome Lisa!!!

Hi readers of The Little Canvas! My name is Lisa from The Polish Playground. I was so excited to be asked by Alaina to be her December's Nail Artist of the Month. I've been into nail art for around three years now. I first got interested in it after stumbling across a few nail art blogs and I just got hooked. I'm still learning as I go but I love how creative I can be with what I design on my nails.

Since its the holiday season right now, I thought it would be appropriate to share a more festive manicure today. I decided to go with some simple red candy cane nails with a bit of sparkle to it. Let's see how I created it then.

First for my base color, I used Different Dimension I've Been An Angel All Year and topped it off with Sephora by OPI Meet Me At Disco for more sparkle on all my nails. Taking some striping tape, I applied pieces of it diagonally on each nail to create the candy cane stripes. Next, I applied American Apparel Downtown LA on top and before the polish fully dried, I peeled the striping tape off. Finished with a coat of Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat.

I'm a huge fan of simple manicures so I think these are perfect to create especially if your someone who's just starting to get into nail art. Its so festive and cute. A huge thank you to Alaina for featuring me as her December Nail Artist of the Month. It was a honor to do so :)

How amazing is this candy cane manicure??? I cannot get over how perfect her lines are! Every time I use red polish and striping tape, it ends up bleeding or smearing when I add the top coat. This is so crisp and perfect! And that base?! Just gorgeous!

Lisa, thank you for this amazing post and festive manicure! I'm so happy to finally feature you here on my blog! :)

Please make sure to follow Lisa on her Blog, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter!!!

Until next time, <3.
