Look at me babbling about the photos before I even talk about these nails! Well, it's June (now the end of it) and that means it's strawberry season! Strawberries are by far my favorite fruit. Each year my family and neighbors all gather and head on off to the local strawberry field and go strawberry picking! Just as I did last year, for the occasion I painted my nails with strawberries! Sadly, they didn't make it to the field since my car was disgusting and I had to do a deep clean of the inside and outside, but at least they lasted long enough to get pictures!
Pictures....awful, awful pictures. I tried, I really did. Stupid red nails washing me out and looking all weird on my computer. lol.

- Paint your nails in your best banana, minion colored yellow.
- You can do step two a few different ways. I placed piece of nail art tape towards the tip of my nail, and with a dotting tool filled in my "french tip" with a blue polish. I wanted my lines to be very straight for the lil guys overalls. If you have a steady hand, you can use the paint brush and slowly paint the tip onto your nail. You could also use a striper or a nail art brush.
- With a nail art brush, paint two black rectangles on the sides of the minions heads for their goggles.
- With a dotting tool, either create two grey dots, or one large dot depending on if you want a two eyed minion or a one eyed minion.
- While the grey polish dries, with a nail art brush, create the little minions mouth. On the two eyed minions, I decided to create a simple smirk. On the one eyed minion, I made the mouths a little more crazy.
- When the grey is dried, with a smaller dotting tool, add white polish.
- When the white is dry, with an even smaller dotting tool, add the black pupils.
Hello everyone! How are you on this fine day! Today, I am guest posting over at Peace, Love, and Polish for the talented Heather. As some of you may or may not know, Heather has had a baby boy and is taking a little time off from the blog. I am a huge fan of Heather's art work, and was honored earlier this month when she asked if I could be her featured blogger of the month. Again, when she asked me to guest post, the same honored feeling took over! I really hope she enjoys what I came up with!
For the colors used and how I got the look, head on over to Peace, Love, and Polish!
Until next time, <3

When I sat down to do this manicure, I wasn't sure what I was going to do. I really wanted to do a floral design since I felt that I had not done one in awhile. A long time ago when I started the blog, I pinned a pansy manicure by Nailed It. Katy's site is awesome because she has some really cute, easy to understand tutorials. To be honest, her tutorials are the reason I started to do my little photoshop ones. I realized you didn't have to do actual nail photo step by step tutorials to get the "how to" across.
So, I sat down and decided to do Katy's pansies with a little twist. Let's take a look!!
- Base
- Orly - Coachella Dweller
- Zoya - Josie
- Pansies
- Sinful Colors - Amethyst
- Sinful Colors - Snow Me White
- INM - El Sol
- Start off with a base coat of a light green polish. For this manicure, I used Coachella Dweller.
- This step can be done a few different ways. I personally took a darker green polish and with a wider nail art brush, I dabbed on Zoya Josie. If you do not have a nail art brush, you can lightly sponge on a darker green polish with a make up sponge, or use saran wrap and do the saran technique.
- With a dark purple polish, make two dots using a medium sized dotting tool to represent the two upper petals of the pansies.
- When the purple polish is dry, with a white polish and slightly smaller dotting tool, dot on four white dots in a cross pattern starting in the middle of the purple dot. See the little picture to see where.
- With the dark purple polish and a nail art brush, lightly add purple details on the white.
- With the medium or smaller dotting tool, take a yellow polish and add a dot in the middle of the white.

Colors Used:
- OPI - My Boyfriend Scales Walls
- China Glaze - Hang Ten Toes
- Funky Fingers - Riot!
- China Glaze - Splish, Splash
- Revlon Dreamer
- Sally Hansen - Pink Blink, Fuschia Flare
- Orly - Liquid Vinyl, Coachella Dweller
- Zoya - Josie
- Start off with a base coat of sky or baby blue polish. For this manicure, I used two coats of Revlon Dreamer.
- With a dotting tool, dot on uneven semi circles on the edges of your nails. This is the base of the flower.
- With a smaller dotting tool, take a lighter polish and unevenly dot in the center of the flower.
- With a nail art brush or a tooth pick, take a light green polish and draw on the leaves in between the flowers.
- With a darker green polish, add some detail to the flowers.
- With a tooth pick, or a nail art brush, outline the flowers. This does not have to be perfect, and in fact looks better when it isn't perfectly neat.
- Do the same thing you did on the flowers to the leaves using a black polish.
- In the blank areas, with the nail art brush or tooth pick, draw in a few black squiggly lines.
Can you believe it is June already??? I feel like May just started, scratch that, the year just started. Where has all the time gone? I do swear that as you get older, the years go by a lot faster. I think it's because all I do is go to work. I don't ever remember the years going this fast when I was in high school.
Regardless, it is June, and you know what that means, right?? It's time for another Nail Artist of the Month!!! This month, I selected Kelly from Tuxarina! I discovered Kelly a few months ago on Twitter after last months nail artist, Casey, included me in a conversation with her! I instantly fell in love with her blog and her work, and had to feature her! For those of you who do not follow Kelly, check out her blog, Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.
Enough of my jabbering, let's take a look at her post!!
I've expanded a little in my nail art skills and went outside of my box more. I did a traditional drippy nail with a twist. I decided to add a sponged base, kind of like a tie dye feel. I used Illamasqua Scorch as a base then sponged with Zoya Yummy, Zoya Arizona, Zoya Ali and Essie Mojito Madness. I then went over and sponged the entire nail with white again, to wash out the bright colors. Then, with a nail art brush and black acrylic paint, I did my drips design. I highlighted some of the drips with white acrylic paint to make them stand out a little more. I really love the end result. Drippys are one of my favorite nail art designs to do. They can either be simple, or complex. You can really twist them any way!
