The One With the Pinterest Manicure that I'm Obsessed With

Nothing to Disclose

Good Morning, Polished World!!!  I know, I've been missing again.  I apologize but work became crazy again and I have been working a lot of 12 hour days.  It's exhausting, but at the end of the day I truly don't want to be doing anything else.  The light is at the end of the tunnel, and I'm going to focus on myself again and start painting my nails more than just a swatch.  Now, don't think I'm 100% work obsessed, I've been spending a lot of time in my vegetable garden which is looking amazing.  Broke a few nails in the garden, but it's well worth it.

Today's design is one I did towards the end of May which I am OBSESSED with!  I saw a similar manicure on Pinterest and I fell in love.  It was a color combination I never imagined doing, or thinking that it would look good on me, but here we are!

Let's take a look!

Colors Used:
  • OPI - My Twin Mimmy
  • ORLY - As Seen on TV
  • OPI - My Boyfriend Scales Walls
  • Black Acrylic
Isn't this amazing?!  Look at that color combination?!  The gorgeous pastel pink/purple mixed with the BRIGHT yellow!!!!  Then that vine design?!  It all blends and works so perfectly.  I was beyond upset with this manicure chipped and I had to remove it.  Especially because I feel I have finally mastered the nail art vine.

Just look how I got those leaves to perfectly flow across the nails.  And the leaves actually looked like leaves.  Sure, it took me about 5 attempts on each nail to get it just right, but it's ten times better than when I would try, get frustrated, and then remove the polish all together.

So now I'm in the market for more fun ideas like this.  Tag me on Instagram if you find any!!!!

Until next time, <3

The One With Yet Another Floral Recreation

Nothing to Disclose

Good Morning, Polished World!  How are you all doing on this wonderful Wednesday?  I'm still slacking and have yet to transfer my blog over to another platform, but to be honest I'm debating on even doing that now because Google seems to have restored my posts which were removed.  I'm still iffy because I'm nervous I'm going to lose everything that I've done on this blog for so many years of my life.  When work slows down some, I'll get to moving it.

Today's manicure is yet another floral re-creation.  I'm not going to lie, I painted this design a few weeks ago and shared a sneak peek to Instagram, and never posted it.  Again, slacker.  When I was painting this design, I was looking through old floral posts and debating on what to do.  I had completely forgotten about these flowers and as soon as I saw them I had to try them again.  This has to be my favorite one out of all of them.

Let's take a look!

Yeahhhhhhhhhhhh, we are going to skip right past the colors used on this post.  Not because I forgot the name of the polish.  No, we are skipping because this ORLY is one of my OG ORLY's from when I started blogging and the sticker has fallen off the bottom of the bottle.  I call it my highlighter pink pretty.  It's actually one of my go-to colors for pedicures in the summertime.  Super easy to apply and full coverage in two coats.  Shame I don't know the name so you all can go out and buy it.  I do know though that it was for the longest time part of their core collection.

The flowers are actually SUPER easy to paint.  I started out by outlining the design with an acrylic paint.  When I had the flower just how I wanted it, I went through with the polishes and filled in the color as if it were a coloring book.  Once that dried, I cleaned up the lines a bit again with the acrylic and added the little details.  Added a top coat and called it a night!

What do you think?  Fan of this floral?  Any clue what that ORLY is?

Until next time, <3.

The One that Kind of Looks like an Arizona Iced Tea Can

Nothing to Disclose

Good morning, Polished World!  How are you all doing today?  Of course, I have failed at switching the blog over to the other platform, so now I'm behind on posting.  Everything works out for a reason though because I had a major break on my left hand so I'm letting the nails grow again so I can reshape them and get them back into better shape.  I'm thinking midweek I'll be back into the nail art.

Even though my nails are short, and I have a plethora of designs that are from a few weeks ago, I decided to go back into the vault for today's manicure.  Since the weather is going to get warmer, I felt that it's time to share this fun design.  Shocker, but I believe it was inspired by SRG.Nails.  To be honest, I can't remember since I painted this manicure in November. Yes, you read that right, November.  I was having some seasonal depression clearly and wanted to brighten things up then.

Let's take a look!

Colors Used:
  • Color Club - Blue-Ming
  • Faby - Panic on Wall Street
  • China Glaze - Merry Whatever
  • Acrylics
Now, I'm not going to lie, I'm pretty sure that pink is a polish but again, I painted it in November and I have no clue what color pink it is.  I'm actually shocked I remembered the golds I used for the accent.  The dots gave it away because Faby Polish Panic on Wall Street is a gorgeous gold which has wonderful coverage for nail art.  It's become one of my go-to gold polishes.

I think we can all agree though that this manicure gives off that Arizona Iced Tea can vibe.  I really loved how the whole design came together.  I think I'm going to re-create it with some different colors.  Oooo maybe a red, white and blue for the Fourth of July?

What do you think? Fan of this manicure?

Until next time <3
