The One With the Cracked Stone Looking Manicure
9:00:00 AMGood morning polished world! How are you all doing today? I apologize for not posting yesterday, but I have some awesome news....I finally edited the photos in all 7 posts that need to be posted, soooo I should have consistant posting for the next two weeks. Hopefully. All I have to do now is just write all the posts. I feel like that is the easier part. Maybe it isn't because as I'm writing this, I just went and watched YouTube videos for 20 minutes.
Anyways, today's manicure is inspired by this cracked stone look by NBNailArt on Instagram. I fell in love with this design as soon as I saw it. Bianka used a stamp to get her look, but I figured it would be something that I could freehand with some acrylics and a small nail art brush.
Let's take a look.
Colors Used:
- OPI - My Boyfriend Scales Walls
- Zoya - Maria Luisa
- Acrylic
Isn't it a neat looking manicure? It is one of those where I couldn't stop looking at my nails. I think I did a decent job re-creating the design without the stamp. At first I thought that the black lines looked a bit like tree branches, so I started to give them more of a jagged look to represent the cracks.
Maria Luisa is one of my favorite polishes which I always forget that I own. One coat and and you get this gorgeous gold foil looking flecks all on the nail. Over the white, I did just did one coat and as you can see, it's pretty dense. This polish always separates on me, but with one shake it's back to normal. I think it's just because the flecks are heavier than the base? I don't know the logistics of polish.
What do you think? Like this look? Something you'd try??
Until next time, <3.
