Nothing to Disclose

Good Morning, Polished World, and Happy March!  Can you believe it? We are almost at the one year mark of all the crazy COVID lockdowns.  The world has changed so much in a year.  I can safely say that I have changed a lot too this past year.  While others have chosen to live in the "woe is me" of the past 2020, I've decided to look at all the positives, and in the end I feel I've grown a lot because of that.  Who knows, maybe it's a mind over matter thing, but regardless, I'm very grateful for the past year.

Today's manicure is the beginning of  me attempting to utilize green polish for the first half of March.  Unlike February and Valentine's Day, I do love March and St. Patrick's Day.  I'm a sucker for a good green polish, especially a mint.  Of course, mint really doesn't scream St. Patrick's Day, but who's really going to care.  I got the idea for today's manicure when I was scrolling Pinterest for a banana cake recipe.  It was abstract and I really adored the color palette.  Definitely something I never would have come up with on my own.

Let's take a look!

Colors Used:
  • ORLY - Olive You Kelly
  • ORLY - Pink Noise
  • ORLY - White Tips
  • ORLY - Liquid Vinyl
Look at Pink Noise....look at Olive You Kelly!  Both polishes are GORGEOUS in their own right.  This year I'm going to make it a point to go through all my ORLY polishes that I haven't used from the last two years of my Color Pass subscription and really go to town and create manicures using colors I normally don't use.  That was a run on sentence, but you get the point.  I can't even recall what subscriptions these two polishes were from, but I think I've only used each of them once or twice.  Alone they're gorgeous, and together even more gorgeous.

I'm a fan of the abstract color blocking putting the two together.  Whoever it was that originally came up with this design, bravo.  I really am not that talented.

What do you think? Something you'd try? Fan of the colors?

Until next time, <3.

Good morning polished world!  How are you on this fine Thanksgiving week?  I'm feeling a tad dreary since the weather hasn't been the greatest.  It's cold, then wet, then grey, then sunny for five seconds, then right back to the cold.  Honestly though, I do love this time of year becauses I am a huge homebody and I love to be inside and cozy.  I cook and bake all of the things, while binging Hulu and Netflix.  What more could anyone want?

Well, I guess you could want sunshine.  One way I bring brightness into my life on these dreary days is by painting some bright neons on my nails.  Today's manicure uses some of my favorite China Glaze neon polishes and mixes it with a weird abstract looking accent nail.  Wasn't really sure where I was going with this design, but I'm happy with the end result.

Let's take a look!

Colors Used:
  • China Glaze - What I Like About Blue
  • China Glaze - Lip Smackin' Good
  • ORLY - White Tips
Since I missed out on the blogging world this summer, I missed out on any China Glaze neon's that might have been released.  Were there any?? I guess I could google and find out.  I do know, however, there were some OPI neons that were released this summer and I did snag those.  Only found that out because I ran into Sally Beauty for some top coat and stumbled across that display.

I'm getting off topic.  What I Like About Blue is one of my favorite polishes hands down.  Formula is a little wonky, but totally workable.  You just have to be careful on the second coat because it can drag if you're heavy handed.  Lip Smackin' Good is similar, but again, totally workable.

What do you think?  Like this bright manicure? Help cure those early winter blues??

Getting close to doing some Christmas Manicures!!!!  Ahhh I can't wait!

Until next time, <3.

Good morning polished world!  How are you all doing today?  Friday is finally here, yet again.  Yesterday it was 44 degrees and snowing, and today it's in the 70s.  My city cannot make its mind up about what season it wants to be.  Mind you, the temperature is going to drop again this weekend, which means hello to colds and sinus infections!!

Good news is, I started my Easter Nail art.  Bad news, I don't want to post the designs quite yet because I'm scared I may not be able to paint next week and then I'll post all my Easter designs pre-maturely and then have nothing.  So I have settled with sharing with you all a pink, spring, abstract manicure I did last week.  I'm surprised how much I loved this design, especially since it's pink and I've had dozens upon dozens of posts talking about how much I dislike pink.

Let's take a look!

Colors Used:
  • Morgan Taylor - Plumette With Excitement
  • ORLY - Lucid Dreams
  • ORLY - Liquid Vinyl
  • Some random darker pink I can't remember the name of....oops
I know I've said this about ten million times, but I really need to write down the names of the polishes I use when I use them.  It's easier when I hold the bottle because I can generally determine which bottle I'm holding by going back and looking at my collection.  Otherwise, everything else I'm just kind of remembering and my mind is filled with a million other things and well, you know what happens.

I absolutely loved this design.  It looked a lot better in person because Lucid Dream really shimmered against the cream polishes.  The abstract design was something fun and different.  The whole design looks like it took forever to accomplish, but really it was a 30 minute manicure.  Reason #1 I love abstract designs like this!

What do you think?  Like this look?  Fan of the pinks??

Until next time, <3
