Twinsie Tuesday: Inspired by Favorite Fictional Character

Good morning polished world! How are you all doing today? It was 77 degrees here yesterday and today it is expected to be 55. Safe to say Fall is here! I'm sure this means my sinuses are going to go crazy and I"m going to end up sick again, but with Fall comes Day Light Savings which means more sleep. See, I look at the bright side of things.

Today is Tuesday which means it is time for another Twinsie Tuesday. Today we are creating manicures inspired by our favorite fictional characters. Since it is Halloween time, I thought about different Halloween characters. It came down to Frankenstein and Casper the Friendly Ghost. Of course I went with cute little Casper.

Last week when I was searching for inspiration on Did My Nails blog, I found this adorable pumpkin and ghost manicure and I put it in my "must do" pile of manicures. I thought it was perfect to do this week for my Casper inspired manicure.

OPI - Do You Take Lei-Away?

I'm so happy I purchased OPI Do You Take Lei-Away in the last sale at Sally Beauty Supply. I'm not a fan of nudes, but this one was darker than others I owned and I was intrigued by it. I'm a huge fan of My Vampire is Buff so I figured I would love this one just the same. And I was right! Honestly, I think this is better than My Vampire is Buff. The formula is perfect and applies evenly in two coats. It dries fast as well, so I didn't have to wait a long time in between coats like I tend to with My Vampire is Buff. It is a perfect base for this manicure. The dry brush looks awesome on top of it!

For the details I cheated and used acrylic paints. All details were done with dotting tools and toothpicks. I'm very pleased with how they turned out. I think this is one of my favorite detailed manicures.
