The One with the Random Yellow Floral Manicure
9:00:00 AMUntil then, I have a crud ton of bright nails to share with you all! A week or so ago, I was really feeling yellow and decided it had been awhile since I did a yellow themed manicure. It had been forever since I did a splash flowers, so I thought I would do something with that.
Let's take a look at what I came up with!
Colors Used:
- FingerPaints - Paper Mache
- FingerPaints - Frosty Lemonade
- FingerPaints - You're So Antsy
- FingerPaints - Patent Black
Not too sure how I feel about this manicure. Part of me likes it. Part of me doesn't. My splash flowers aren't as "splashy" as they usually are. I feel like in the past they look more dry brush where these look more like "BAM" Flower! I hope that makes sense...it does in my mind.
You're So Antsy is a fun black and white matte glitter. I used this awhile back when it first came out last year and totally forgot about it until now. It has square white and black pieces along with tiny balck and white hex pieces. Full coverage in one coat. Don't you just love glitters which have great coverage in one coat??
Frosty Lemonade is a gorgeous yellow polish which has full coverage in two coats. Such a bright fun shade. I'm not a huge yellow person, but this is usually my go to when I use it. I think it looks neat as the base for You're So Antsy.
I used Patent Black for the black on this manicure. Now, while I was at Sally Beauty the other day and noticed that there is a black as part of the FingerPaints core collection. Since I just bought a new black to try out, I didn't pick it up. I'm going to next time though because I'm very curious to see if it has a similar formula to Paper Mache, which is their awesome white.
What do you think? Do you like this manicure or you just as meh about it as I am? Honestly, really only digging the colors? Have you tried the FingerPaints black from their core collection? Should I get it??
Until next time, <3.
