For my tribal design, I did a gradient of various neon polishes.  I started with a pink, then went to a coral color, then an orange.  I cannot think of the exact names right now and am very lazy to go look.  Once I got the gradient how I liked it, I used my nail art brush to create the design.  I cheated and used acrylic paint to make sure my lines and details were neater and cleaner.

Hey everyone!  Just a quick post to let you know what's going on here at The Little Canvas!  I do not want you to think that I'm abandoning the blog since I've been quiet for a few days!

First off, the Twinsie's are taking a month off to enjoy the holidays!  We will be back once before Christmas to bring you all a holiday manicure, but other than that, Tuesdays will be quite quiet.  Since there is this little hiatus, I'm going to go back to posting every 3 days with the exception of The Beauty Buffs.  This way I won't feel as stressed trying to get manicures done and up on the blog.  With my odd scheduling, I've felt bogged down and unable to fully enjoy what I've been doing.  The last three days I've had naked nails because I've been that uninspired.  Good news is, I'm back to painting and have an awesome manicure on right now that I cannot wait to show you all!

Now, for the gushy part.  I want to take a minute and thank every single one of my lovely followers.  It's been an amazing year for The Little Canvas.  I cannot BELIEVE how many followers I've gained over the past few months!  I'm at almost 7,500 on Instagram, close to 10,000 on Tumblr, and this past week I went over 3,000 on Facebook! When I started this blog, I never thought I would get 100, let alone 7,500 on any platform.  It's such a blessing being able to share my hobby with so many of you, and inspire many along the way.  It's also been amazing getting to know many of you.  I've met some awesome people who I interact with daily through this blogging adventure.  I never thought that something as little as nail polish impact my life so much!

So thank you all for your love and support of this blog!!!!  I'll be back tomorrow with a new nail design, and then later in the week I'll be introducing you to the December Nail Artist of the Month!

Cuteness overload.  I'm so happy with how these turned out!  I started off with a base coat of My Vampire is Buff.  When that was dry, I used Zoya Flynn to create the little turkey heads.  Flynn was from the Cashmere collection last Fall.  It's a rather pretty light brown shade which I think I could use a lot for more "nature" designs.  Maybe even a reindeer??

When my polishes were dried, I cheated and used my acrylic paints for all the details.  Guys, I don't know why I was so stubborn and refused to use acrylics for all these years.  My details are so much neater, the dry time is a lot faster, and all around I'm a happy girl.  It was just soooooooooo much easier!


I really am loving how adorable these are.  I am a little upset though that Flynn shrunk around the tips on my right hand.  That tends to happen a lot with my Zoyas.  Does anyone else have that problem?
