Tribal Accent Manicure
9:00:00 AM
Hey every one and happy Sunday! This has been the oddest week because of the holiday. I seriously thought that Thursday was Saturday and Friday was Sunday. That's what happens when you're so used to working every day and only having the weekends off.
Today I am bringing you a manicure I did using a Christmas glitter from the FingerPaints Winter Wishes collection. At the time I did the manicure, which was like two weeks ago, I really wasn't feeling any Christmas designs. Since this polish is so versatile, I was able to do a design that could be worn any time of the year! Don't you love with seasonal polishes aren't just for the season!?
Let's take a look!
Colors Used:
- FingerPaints - Patent Black
- FingerPaints - Wrapped in Ribbon
- Gradient - Neons from the Salon Perfect Summer polishes
FingerPaints Patent Black is from their new Patent Leather manicure kit which is available now at Sally Beauty Supply. This kit includes a black and red polish along with a top coat. This is one of my favorite black polishes ever! One coat and it was perfect opaque coverage. When I added the top coat, the shine was just amazing. I swatched the red from the kit, and it's identical to the black formula wise. Really amazing polishes!
Wrapped in Ribbon is from the Winter Wishes collection which is also available now at Sally Beauty Supply. This polish is one of five microglitters which can be worn over a cream polish or on their own with a few coats. I did three coats for my ring finger. I could have gotten away with two, but I got a little over zealous and added a third for extra sparkle! I'm not a gold fan, but am very happy to have this polish as part of my collection and will be able to use it a lot throughout the year!
For my tribal design, I did a gradient of various neon polishes. I started with a pink, then went to a coral color, then an orange. I cannot think of the exact names right now and am very lazy to go look. Once I got the gradient how I liked it, I used my nail art brush to create the design. I cheated and used acrylic paint to make sure my lines and details were neater and cleaner.
What do you think? Liking this look?
I'm off to enjoy my Sunday!
Until next time, <3.
