Orly Mish Mosh Manicure

Happy Saturday!  How are you all today?  I'm doing fabulously since I get to sleep in!  Aren't Saturday's the best??  I'm especially looking forward to the rest because I had some really weird stomach bug the other day and it's knocked me down just a tad.  I had a review of some really awesome All Natural Nail Polish remover all ready to go up on the blog, but after getting sick I got too lazy to edit the post and finish writing it up.  So instead of posting it today, I decided to share a manicure that I've been meaning to put up, and share the review tomorrow.

Today's manicure was one that I posted a sneak peek of in my Nail Polish Canada Great Nail Polish Giveaway post.  If you remember, I nominated Orly Oh Cabana Boy to be one of the 193 polishes that were given away.  Congrats to whoever won; that's a mini stash of nail polish!  I couldn't imagine ever winning that many bottles!

This manicure was created when I saw that bottle of Oh Cabana Boy sitting brightly among all the other polishes in my Melmer.  I was really feeling the hot pink that not only did I put it on my fingers, but I did a matching pedicure also.  I did a random kitchen sink manicure inspired by many different designs I've seen on Pinterest and Instagram.

Let's take a look!

Colors Used:
  • Orly - Oh Cabana Boy
  • Orly - Liquid Vinyl
  • Orly - French Tip White

Yes, a total Orly manicure!  I've discussed in the past how awesome Orly Liquid Vinyl is.  It's by far my all time favorite black polish.  I discovered it ages ago when I was upset with Sinful Colors Black on Black drying up so fast.  Any nail artist knows, that black is a staple color that is needed for many different designs.  Nothing is more frustrating when you go to use that black and it's all goopy and leaves goopy dots or those little streaky hair pieces behind when trying to use it.  I can get to the very bottom of my bottle of Orly Liquid Vinyl before that starts happening.  I can always count on my bottle being perfect when I need it to be!

Orly is really impressing me a lot lately with their polishes and formulas.  Their creams are always smooth and apply in two coats, and their neons are the brightest of bright.  Melt Your Popsicle and Glowstick just amaze me each time I see them.  Then just seeing the perfection that is Oh Cabana Boy.  It applies evenly in two coats and dries somewhat matte like many neons do.  It has a subtle blue shimmer to the hot pink which makes it that much more amazing and unique compared to other neon pinks. I own.  For my manicure, I added a matte top coat, so when it dries, it is not that matte as shown.

This was my first time using the French Tip White.  It has a funky brush which is meant for it to literally be a polish for french tips, but I decided to use it as a base.  Took a bit of time to apply due to the funky brush, but it was really worth it.  Such a perfect white, again another must have in a nail artists collection.

As I said, I added a matte top coat to my nails because I was really feeling the matte vibe when I did them.  I love the look of matte black nails and matte designs like on the middle and ring finger.  I put down a base of glossy base before I put down my matte because I find that it has more even coverage.  This was also a trick that the lovely ladies of The Beauty Buffs shared with me.  So happy they did because my matte manicures are awesome because of it!

What do you think?  Loving the look?  Fan of Orly?  Have you seen the CosmoProf sneak peeks of their new collections coming out soon?  I must have them all.

Goodness this post turned out longer than I thought it would!  Hope you all have a great day!!

Until next time, <3.
